We hosted our latest session alongside the entrepreneur Daniel Priestley on Friday: 'Becoming a Key Person of Influence' was an illuminating discussion that elicited no shortage of questions from our guests! Everyone left with something to think about and to action, so for those of you who couldn't make it, here are the 5 key takeaways: -Take note of the 5 Ps: Pitch, Publish, Partnership, Profile, and Product. -Social media presence is key, and you will almost always have more followers than your company. Prominent examples include Jeff Bezos, Tim Cook, Elon Musk, and Jessica Alba. Putting your face to something is the competitive advantage, and the fastest way to make a breakthrough in your industry is to become its go-to-person. -Publishing a book and sending a free copy to your prospects with nothing else in mind will lead to more business. Daniel has personal experience with this, and it has been one of his biggest assets. -The process of making people remember you can be boiled down to seeing them for 11 positive interactions over 7 hours in 4 different locations. They learn to know you, like you, and trust you, and go from being a part of a market which was ignoring you to a part of your community. -Key People of Influence are people who publish their opinions. This was an immediate action that Daniel suggested you could take to begin the process of becoming a KPI: publish a short opinion piece of 400 words on social media once a week. The recording for the session is now live, and you can access it in the 'Folder' in the dropdown menu with three horizontal lines in the top right of the Club. Our next session, 'Score Your Leads' [10 May 11am] is open for registrations, so do go ahead and sign up to take part in the next portion of Daniel's strategy for becoming a KPI.
