The headaches of accountancy recruitment have persisted into 2022, but there remain excellent opportunities for those who know where to look. ACCA's article on the recruitment outlook for 2022 highlights the same pains as we had in 2021 and before, with an inordinate amount of resignations putting pressure on industries in general. While candidates have more bargaining power, demand remains high for those wanting to go international. There continues to be a strong demand for more women and people from minority ethnic backgrounds in senior management positions, as well as demand created by IPOs and private equity acquisitions.
