Firstly, I hope that everyone managed to get through the busy season without too much stress and that we can all effectively re-align and plan for the year ahead. One of the key points being raised within the forums and discussions online is around automation to drive efficiencies to allow us to keep pace with the ever changing accounting world of AI and the expectations of our clients. As with many firms, one of our areas of focus this year is to review and look to integrate more third party apps on Xero, Quickbooks or other software providers to allow us to achieve our goals to drive that automation process. I would be keen to learn of any recommendations from fellow members as to apps that have made a big difference to you or your practice. We currently use and recommend apps such as Dext (formerly Receipt Bank), Autoentry (for those paper receipt bag jobs - yes they still exist!) and workflowmax, with a number of other apps also being used.
